Here at Hamish Mair Chauffeur Services, we provide a wide knowledge and transportation to many of Scotland’s favourite and famous Golf Courses.

Our drivers are well versed in the many aspects of the sport, being keen golfers themselves and can give advice when requested.

We will collect you from your location, transfer you to your golf course of choice, in plenty time to meet your tee off time. Your day can be a mix of golf and historic sight seeing, or taking the non golfers in the party out sight seeing and return for the golfers later in the day.

Our Executive V Class Mercedes are the perfect vehicles for the transportation of you, your golf clubs, along with any equipment, to the golf course.

On occasion we can assist in helping our clients secure a booking at some of Scotland’s finest courses, with advance notice being required in this instance.

In Scotland we have two classifications of golf courses to enjoy which are:

Links Golf courses

These are all sand based and are found near the coast lines of Scotland. You will experience the different wind speed and direction which creates a sterner challenge, as well as perfectly manicured lightning quick greens, which require a strong short game. Not to forget deep bunkers, with layered faces.

Good examples of these type of courses are:

• The Old Course at St Andrews,
• Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire,
• North Berwick West and Muirfield, both situated in East Lothian and
• Carnoustie found near Dundee.

Parkland Golf courses

These tend to be more inland, provide longer grass and plenty of trees. As well as greens, which are more susceptible to holding shot, which are played directly to the challenging pin positions.

Good examples of these types of Golf courses are:

• Glen Eagles (used for the Ryder Cup) near Auchterarder,
• Murrayshall in Perthshire,
• Duff House Royal Golf Club, Aberdeenshire,
• Royal Burgess and Bruntsfield Golf Clubs, both in Edinburgh and
• Roxburghe Golf Club in Kelso.
