Company Introduction to our Working Relationships

We are a very reputable Private Chauffeur Company, based in Edinburgh however travelling all over Scotland.

We have been in the Chauffeur business for over 10years, with the Director Hamish having a degree in Hospitality, being educated at the Prestige Daniel Stewarts & Melville College Boys School, Edinburgh, which is now joined with Mary Erskine Girls School.

Hamish has recently brought his Wife Gill into the business part time. She brings a wealth of skills into the business, from her 35year career in the Financial Industry for a well known bank. She plays a key role in the administration side of the business, looking after our valuable contacts/clients and running the daily diary for us to operate smoothly & efficiently each day.

We work in the Executive Travel Market, with a fleet of up-to-date luxury Mercedes vehicles, which are regularly updated. They come with all the mod cons, air conditioning, leather interiors, privacy glass, charging points for phones/laptops, electric doors for our V Class models, all private registration plates. We supply complimentary water and mints on board and all vehicles have a suited driver who will assist with luggage/look after our clients. Please see Our Fleet Section for photographs.

To give you an idea of our working relationships, we are one of the main nominated suppliers for The George Hotel, The Kimpton Hotel and The Scotsman Hotel in Edinburgh, looking after their high end guests, providing a first class service. We work with two American Travel Agents each year, looking after their clients touring all over Scotland. We also work with an Edinburgh based Travel Agent providing similar services. We were heavily involved in the COP 26 event, very privileged to look after Diplomats and American Secret Service Agents.

We regularly work alongside our Associates at Luxe Chauffeur looking after our tourists for bespoke and speciality tours such as Outlander, historic tours and Whisky & Golf tours, all over Scotland.

Hamish Mair – Managing Director

I have a BA Honary Degree in Hotel Management and Institutional Operations, coupled with 30 years experience in the hospitality industry. I am an avid golfer (category 1) and have played the sport to a competitive high level, playing courses such as The Old Course, Muirfield, Carnoustie and Turnberry. I have a vast knowledge of the history of Scotland, Politics and love to meet new people, finding out about different cultures.

My Wife and I run our Executive Travel Company and we have hand selected our drivers, to ensure we have the right professionals representing us.

We take immense pride in providing a first class service for every request we fulfil and leave the right lasting impression. Appearance plays an important part in our company, which is why all the fleet is top end Mercedes, along with our drivers being well presented and suited for every job.

Gillian Melrose – Company Co-Ordinator / Administrator

I have 35 years experience in the finance sector, along with excellent customer service being at the heart of my every day job. I enjoy organising the daily diary for our drivers and ensuring they are clear on the pickup times and locations of our clients.

I take care of all the financial accounting for the growing business and keep an eye on our competitors to ensure our tariffs remain competitive for our clients.
