Edinburgh HistoricTour

This tour takes between three and four hours depending how much time you wish to spend at each venue.

We begin the tour from the city centre up the Royal mile to take in the castle and then travel down the High street past John Knox’s house to Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament building.

This is followed by a trip up and round Arthur’s Seat which gives a fantastic view of the city and then down past Duddingston Loch and the old kirk.

For those who love the sea and the beach we head down to Portobello for a glance at the Firth of Forth and then on to Leith docks and the Queens Royal Yacht Brittania.

A quick coffee at one of the local cafes then leads us on to Newhaven and Granton Harbour with fantastic views. We then proceed on to Fettes College (Edinburgh’s Hogwarts and where our ex Prime Minister Tony Blair was educated) and the Royal botanic gardens which has beautiful surrounding residential properties.

The next stop is Crammond Island with views which will blow you away and then down past JK Rowlings residence on the way to South Queensferry where we will see the quaint wee village and the three bridges. Hopetoun House is a mile down the coast line  to the west of the city.

We head back into the city centre passing two of Edinburgh’s iconic buildings Daniel Stewart’s and Melville College followed by  formally Donaldsons school for the deaf and blind on our way to Princes Street and the Mound which leads back up to the castle.
